U N F O L D
U N F O L D is a stunning new multidisciplinary arts collaboration featuring illustration, animation, poetry, film, spoken word and music across digital and live music platforms.
I was commissioned to design a series of interactive poetry books for the project. I collaborated with animator Lizzy Rowlatt to bring the books to life as a series of animations.

I have designed and illustrated a series of six poetry books for UNFOLD
Each book has its own unique cut+fold design inviting the reader to sculpt a landscape of their own visual poetry. The poetry text on the reverse folds is incorporated into this interactive design.

HUH /hʌ,hə/ exclamation
– used in questions to invite agreement
– used in anger or surprise
Seamlessly crossing poetry, new music, song and rap, HUH presents some of today’s most powerful voices and celebrated artists from the UK’s music and spoken word scenes.
Errollyn Wallen’s hauntingly beautiful song In Our Lifetime, inspired by Nelson Mandela’s prison release, and poet Salena Godden’s unflinching essay Shade, set the concert’s themes of movement and identity.
Next up, Lyrix Organix: UnFold is spoken word as you’ve never heard, or seen, before. Influenced by jazz and contemporary classical, UnFold is a live collaboration between the UK’s most exciting young poets alongside LSO strings, percussion and emerging visual artists.
New works by the mesmerising MOBO Award Nominee Ayanna Witter-Johnson & Solomon O.B, and LSO Jerwood Composer Jasmin Kent Rodgman & Salena Godden, complete the soundscape with rap, soulful vocals and electronics.
Set within an interactive sound installation, HUH invites you to experience a truly unique concert.
